Battery disposal

Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household waste. The symbol of the crossed-out garbage can reminds us of separate collection.

As an end user, you are obliged to return used batteries. The return affects batteries that Akku New has or has had in its range as new batteries.

Return

Old batteries that Akku New carries or has carried in its range as new batteries can be returned free of charge to the company address: 111 Route de Mersch, L-7432 Gosseldange. Please make an appointment in advance.

Markings

The chemical symbols on batteries indicate the heavy metals they contain:

• Pb: more than 0.004 percent lead by mass.
• CD: more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium.
• Hg: more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury.

Please note the labeling on your battery and the current instructions from the collection point. The note describes labels and does not allow disposal with household waste.

Damaged batteries

Do not continue to use, charge or ship damaged, bloated or unusually hot batteries. Please discuss safe delivery with us or a suitable collection point in advance.
